Sponsored by WPI, the Horror Writer’s Workshop is a week of intensive workshops and lectures combined with visits to some of Transylvania’s most haunted locations. Some writing sessions are devoted to elements of craft, some to critiquing assigned work, and some sessions provide prompts and guided exercises to open up possibilities of new work. Significant time is also set aside for writing. Most afternoons are reserved for individual tutorials and free time to write. While the workshop instructor may include published material as examples of well-crafted writing, focus will be given to your own work. The Horror Writer’s Workshop, Transylvania provides a space where your writing will be given careful attention and constructive feedback in a mutually respectful environment.
